Matt Lauer is cheating, as outlined by the New York Daily News, and the recent Vancouver Winter Olympics may have something to do with it. The charms of NBC Sports broadcaster Tiki Barber previously; add the romantic fire of the luge and these helpless men are putty. Yes, Matt Lauer, 52, allegedly cheated on his Dutch supermodel wife Annette Roque when he was in Vancouver covering the Winter Games. According to the National Enquirer, Lauer and Roque have split over these allegations, possibly ending their 12-year marriage and placing Lauer in a very difficult financial situation where he might need a lot more than a payday loans no fax to pay his attorney’s fees, alimony and child support.
Matt Lauer adds cheating points to a checkered history
Have Matt Lauer and cheating come up within the exact same sentence before? It isn't clear but there are bumps in his relationship history. The Matt Lauer Wikipedia page indicates that he was married from 1982 until 1989 to TV producer Nancy Alspaugh. That marriage ended in divorce. He dated TV newscaster Kristen Gesswein and even got engaged from 1989 to 1996. That engagement was definitely broken, because two years later, Matt Lauer married Annette Roque, aka “Jade.” Roque has appeared in ads for Victoria's Secret and Revlon along with others. When she was pregnant with their third child, they were separated and even on Sept. 13, 2006, filed for divorce. They made up before it became official, perhaps because Lauer saw a future where he wouldn’t be able to maintain his “Today” show jet-set lifestyle.
On Valentine's day, he stood Annette up
That is a giveaway as far as women are concerned. Matt Lauer stuck around for a party after his duties at the Vancouver Games were complete, and as the Daily News puts it, he “caught the eye of two good-looking Canadian broadcasters.” When he got back to New York, Annette was allegedly ready for a showdown. Things were said, and Annette's ring is nowhere to be seen. Matt Lauer and Annette Rogue have three children together: 8-year-old son Jack, 6-year-old daughter Romy and 2-year-old son Thijs (pronounced “tice”).
Keeping it quiet
That's what the "Today" show and NBC are asking of Matt Lauer. They believe his audience wants a family man. We all know the most significant thing within the TV industry is appearance. Al Roker might seem like a nice weatherman and interviewer, but might be a super villain when the camera is off. Viewers have no real way of knowing, thanks to the illusion of television. Although Matt Lauer might seem the family man on TV, his real life is more complicated.
