Blackberry Pearl 3G And Bold 9650 Models Set For Release

Release Of Pearl 3G And Bold 9560 From Blackberry

Blackberry has announced both the Pearl 3G and Bold 9650 models. Both the Blackberry Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G are improvements on existing Blackberry models and will contain upgrades such as Wi-Fi. The Bold 9650 will cost $ 299.99 before rebates, so apply for low interest loans now if you’ll want the newest RIM creation.

The Blackberry Bold 9650

Set to be released on the Sprint Network on May 23, the Blackberry Bold 9650 is built on the exact same technical chassis as the Blackberry Tour. The look and feel of the Bold 9650 is very similar to the international Tour handset. An optical touchpad replaces the sticky and complaint-inducing trackball. Bold 9650 will also include Wi-Fi capability. Multi-national network support could be the major lynchpin of the Bold 9650, along with a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and large screen. Because international phone networks are not always compatible with U.S. networks, the Tour has chips to work with other networks. This will allow businesspeople and pay day loan lenders to do their business anywhere within the country.

Pearl 3G from Blackberry

The Blackberry Pearl was released as one of the first mass-market Blackberry phones, and the Blackberry Pearl 3G is designed to continue this tradition. 3G HSPA networks and 802.11N Wi-Fi connections are both available on the Pearl 3G – the first U.S. phone with N-network Wi-Fi. The Pearl 3G will contain a faster processor than the original Pearl, which will combine with RIM’s Blackberry Operating System for full smartphone functionality. There can be two versions of the Pearl 3G – one with a 20 button keypad and one with a 14 button keypad – the 9100 and 9105 models. In an attempt to make it easier for new users to transition to a smartphone, the 14-key pad is intended to appeal to teens.

Blackberry Pearl 3G release delayed

While the Blackberry Pearl 3G has been announced, the release of the phone is sure to be a while. Before the Pearl 3G can be released, it has to be approved by the Wi-Fi alliance. Because of this need for testing, neither T-Mobile or AT and T have provided release dates or prices for the Pearl 3G.

RIM Blackberry vs. iPhone vs. Android

The makers of Blackberry and iPhone are embattled for years. Though Blackberries are available for years, the iPhone brought app development and more to the forefront of the general public. One has to wonder what will happen when the Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G are released – which phone will come out on top. Which one do you prefer to use?
