Court Order Sends Jon And Kate Gosselin To Parenting Class

If you've been scouring TMZ, you know that Jon and Kate Gosselin are in parenting class. The Berks County, Philadelphia, judge who is presiding over the Gosselin custody dispute has released this mandatory decree. Both the patriarch and matriarch of the “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ family must enroll in and complete all class work before June 8 for the “Children within the Middle” course offered by the State of Pennsylvania. This can be a seven-hour class that Jon and Kate have to attend in person rather than choosing the online option, but the judge is allowing them to attend separately. Unlike payday loans, it is perfectly fine if it takes them a lot more than a day to finish.

Hopefully, Jon and Kate’s parenting class won’t be a spectacle

Jon and Kate at parenting class will not be televised to anyone’s knowledge (yet), but the lengthy ” Children in the Middle" class appears to be in the best interests of the Gosselin octet. The “Children within the Middle” site makes it quite clear that the purpose of the parenting class is to show “how families can meet the needs of children growing up between two homes.” There are two three-and-one-half-hour parts, divided in focus between the adults and the kids.

The adult segment of the Jon and Kate parenting class is divided into the following parts:

  • Knowing who you are
  • How not to play the victim
  • Understanding and preventing domestic violence
  • Work with the other household, not against
  • The role extended family and dating will play within the two-house mix
  • How to co-parent better
  • How adults can deal with grief
  • How to manage conflicts productively
  • Where to look when the two of you can’t work it out

Kids are the focus

OK, Jon and Kate, we all know you’ll be exhausted at this point; it is tougher than Kate being on DWTS or Jon doing his Jon thing. Get through “Children within the Middle,” which involves the following child-focused segment. Here are the kid chapters:

  • Understanding how children develop
  • Making two homes work for youngsters
  • Time to parent
  • Keeping track of child support payments
  • Connecting with your kids
  • Helping them through big feelings
  • Shielding children from the adult side of divorce
  • How children perceive co-parent interaction
  • Kid perks of co-parenting
  • Don’t disparage your ex, kids can come to resent you

What part of co-operative don’t you understand, Jon and Kate?

Follow a solid parenting plan for the sake of your kids. They deserve two parents who are mature, caring and present in their lives. Living life on camera will not help you achieve that end, so get jobs that will enable you to parent in person instead of by proxy. Jon and Kate, take parenting class seriously. Many instant cash loans-using parents are there. Mind you, most don’t have the cash you do, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still issues you need to work out as you repair your family life. Your kids deserve nothing less.
