Shear Genius Winner: Brig takes it

Shear Genius is supposedly supposed to be a competition about hairstyling. A little bit of controversy has been stirred up by season 3's Shear Genius winner on Bravo.

The winner of the Shear Genius competition, whether she deserves it or not, will be receiving a photo shoot with Allure Magazine also as $ 100,000 in cash advance prize money.

Shear Genius winner : Brig

It’s for certain that Brig was not the finest hairstylist on Shear Genius. However, Brig was surely the best competitor on Shear Genius. Winner positions on reality shows have a tendency to go to the competitor that provides the best TV, not necessarily one of the most skilled.

It seems that it would make more sense for Brig, with her crazy outfits and large hair bows, would be the Genius Winner prize and won't have to borrow instant money to help with her big bow addiction.

How Shear Genius works

Shear Genius is a TV show that is much like Top Chef and Project Runway, with a hairstyling theme. Every week the changers are given one short cut challenge where they aren't eliminated and one elimination challenge.

Each elimination challenge has a theme that each competitor must style to match and then the styles are seen by a panel when they sent their hairstyles down the runway.

The drama of Brig

On Shear Genius, the drama bucket of the show all went to Brig. During the show she was generally the center of controversy with her huge bows when she worked for the drama rather than the competition. Within the end, Brig's buns with extensions won even though the other two finalists, Matthew Morris and Janine Jarman, were much more liked by fans. Many people think that the "triumph over adversity" story by Briggs was pushed too much.

No matter what these reasons happen to be, Brig managed to get herself on the show and then to discover herself winning the Shear Genius competition.
