Allegedly, both have had affairs although that isn't the issue. The timing of these intended revelations is exactly what strikes a sour note after a fine weekend of golf by Phil.

Tiger Woods didn’t win The Masters because Phil was better
Phil Mickelson being 16 under for the tournament helped him win three strokes ahead of Lee Westwood. Tiger Woods finished at 11-under, tied for fourth place with K.J. Choi. As PGA pro Curtis Strange put it on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, Phil is “at ease” playing at Augusta National. He was hitting the greens and making all shots for this Masters. Not only will Mickelson take home his third green jacket, which makes him the only one of eight players that won that many, but he will even be bringing home $ 1.35 shares of the Masters payout. Total prize cash for the field was $ 7.5 million.
