Daddy Brett of Brittany Favre is the first NFL grandfather QB

Brett Favre may not are able to deliver a Super Bowl victory to Minnesota, but Brett Favre’s daughter Brittany Favre has delivered something even more significant: a baby boy. Nothing is more precious than a new child, and the birth of Parker Brett adds much new accolade to the Brett Favre career. Assuming he returns to play for the 2010 NFL season, Brett Favre might be the first grandfather ever to lace up spikes within the NFL, according to various sources. It is being disputed but George Blanda might have actually been the first active NFL grandfather.

Brittany Favre is a proud mama, and turns 21 in 2010

But Brett Favre protects the level of privacy of his family closely, so the media at large has yet to get Brittany Favre’s official reaction. Brett Favre’s daughter cedes the limelight to daddy Brett Favre, who made the following statement to the media (See source below) with regards to Brittany Favre and her son Parker Brett:

“Deanna and I are very proud to welcome our grandchild Parker Brett to the Favre family. Parker Brett was born on Friday, April 2, weighing 7 lb. 7 oz., and we’re pleased to say that both (sic) Mom, Dad and Parker Brett are healthy and doing great.”

Congratulations to the family and to Brittany Favre

Even though Brittany Favre’s father (and Parker’s grandfather) Brett Favre may annoy some fans with his constant retirement talk, there’s little doubt the grandfather quarterback can still play. Some fans may jokingly wonder if he’ll play long enough to line up alongside Parker Brett, but of course that will be next to impossible. Favre hasn't even decided whether he wants to retire and continue into his own business ventures such as payday loans no fax,or if he'd rather return to the Minnesota Vikings in 2010. He may have won more games than any other starting quarterback in NFL history (181) when he turns 41 in October 2010. Yet the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder says Brett Favre will likely be back for more (See resource below). The publication quotes an unnamed resource as say! ing “I think he (Favre) doesn’t mind trying it again.”

Brittany Favre should probably wait on "trying it again" until Parker Brett is out of diapers. However, as a player, Brett Favre never shied from adversity. Possibly this will run within the family. whatever Favre's daughter decides, she evidently has a loving family concerned for her.
