Brig takes it all: Shear Genius Winner

Shear Genius is supposedly supposed to be a competition about hairstyling. Just a little bit of controversy has been stirred up by season 3's Shear Genius winner on Bravo.

Whether she deserved it or not, Brig is getting the Shear Genius winner prize of $ 100,000 in quick cash prize money and a photo shoot for Allure Magazine.

Shear Genius winner : Brig

Brig was clearly not the best hairstylist on Shear Genius. Brig was, however, the best reality show competitor on Shear Genius. The person who deserves it is never the person that wins since they always give it to whoever will sell more TV.

It seems that it would make more sense for Brig, with her crazy outfits and large hair bows, would be the Genius Winner prize and won't have to borrow money to help with her big bow addiction.

The way Shear Genius works

Shear Genius is a TV show that is much like Top Chef and Project Runway, with a hairstyling theme. Every week the changers are given one short cut challenge where they aren't eliminated and one elimination challenge.

The elimination challenge usually has a theme that the competitors must style hair to match, and then the styles are sent down the runway to be judged by a panel.

The drama of Brig

On Shear Genius, the drama bucket of the show all went to Brig. During the show she was typically the center of controversy with her huge bows when she worked for the drama rather than the competition. Within the end, Brig's buns with extensions won even though the other two finalists, Matthew Morris and Janine Jarman, were much more liked by fans. Something that the Brig's story of "triumph over adversity" was pushed over the top.

Whichever the reasons, Brig talked herself onto the show, then worked her way up to become the winner of Shear Genius.
