Sanchez works the bigot note on Jon Stewart

Sanchez has called Stewart a bigot, and implied in no uncertain terms that he thinks Stewart fits right in among the “Jews that run the networks”. The low blog from Sanchez seems particularly ill-conceived, considering that comebacks are the domain of comics, rather than self-important pseudo-entertainers. Resource for this article – Rick Sanchez plays the bigot card on Jon Stewart by Personal Money Store.

Rick Sanchez mad at the game

Reporting and entertainment have blended a bit meaning that satire can be found on the front page with packages like “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” that work to only be satire. CNN’s Rick Sanchez, a host on a more “traditional” cable news network, was tired of being made fun of on these satirical shows. He completely lost it yesterday, reports Mediaite. Evidently this happened during Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show. Sanchez made his “Jon Stewart is a bigot” remark without realizing what would take place. He tried saying he could be called “prejudicial” or “uniformed” instead but couldn’t go back on it.

The real question is ‘What group is he bigoted toward?’

Dominick engaged Rick Sanchez over his comment, possibly in order to give Sanchez a rope in which to climb out of the hole. Things just got worse. Sanchez practically hung himself with his words. He does this by playing the “Jews run entertainment” card.

Small section cow-chip tossing contest

Sanchez is Hispanic although Dominick thought it was important to remind Sanchez that he is Jewish meaning he was a small section too, which lead Sanchez to another comment. He said that those who run Cable News Network are “a lot like Stewart,” as are those who run “all the other networks.”. Rich Sanchez made it all much worse when he said, “I cannot see somebody not getting a job someplace because they’re Jewish.”

Decide for yourself.
