Jobs uses Apple earnings meeting to take shots at Android and RIM

Steve Jobs most recently took part in an Apple revenue meeting. During the discussion of how well Apple Inc. stock is doing, Jobs took time to let loose on RIM (Blackberry) and Android platforms. He first stated why he believes Apple software is vastly superior to Android. He also mentioned the iPhone outsells its competitors handily. There is also the “Back to the Mac” Apple event to look forward to Obviously, it is going to be about the status of Mac computers. There are likely to be some new models coming soon.

Meeting about Apple revenue talks about Jobs slamming RIM and Android

There had been something exciting at the most latest Apple revenue conference. Steve Jobs made a surprise visit. The fourth quarter of Apple Inc. had been good. Earnings were up a ton. He opened by saying he generally does not attend such meetings, however he couldn’t resist talking about the first $20 billion quarter for Apple, according to Apple Insider. He certainly reprehended the competition also. He pointed out that the iPhone outsold RIM Blackberry by 2 million models, and that Research In Motion had too far to go to catch up. He also pointed out that Android smartphones by Google activated 200,000 units a day to Apple’s 275,000.

Android tablets to perish easily

On the heels of the best quarter ever for the Apple stock price – AAPL just hit $300 a share – Jobs also felt he would weigh in on gripes about software and tablets. He said that it is not true that the iPhone is “closed” when the Android is “open” as Google is claiming. He also pointed out that the Android tablet PCs due out soon could be “dead on arrival” because a 7-inch screen is only a bit bigger than an intelligent phone. He said you’ll always get much more stuff for your cash with Apple since it’s made in house.
