Controversy erupts in Spain as ten year old gives birth Within the region of Andalusia in Spain, the birth took place in Jerez de la Frontera. The newest grandmother is confirming her ten year old child as pleased and healthy after giving birth. The new grandma and pregnant daughter went to Spain to birth the child, and both are Roma, people from time to time called gypsies. Significantly underage marriages are not uncommon among Roma. The brand new grandmother insists it’s not unusual at all.

The Huffington Post reports that Jelez de la Frontera, who’s 10 and in Roma, gave birth to a baby girl. Olimpia is the mother of the girl. She is keeping a private identity for her daughter. The father of the child is expected to be in Romania and is supposed to be 13, although this is unverified. He isn't dating the mother anymore. Olimpia as a new grandmother says that as numerous within the Roma culture marry and give birth young, this isn't anything new. Although underage and arranged marriages are illegal in some countries, the marriages are arranged still.

There is a phenomenon called precocious puberty, where children start puberty early, often due to a hormone imbalance. The father is typically arrested when a female with precocious puberty has a child. 13 is how old a minor has to be in Spain. Otherwise child abuse is what has happened. Most teen pregnancies come from Andalusia in Spain. In fact, in 2008, 48 of the 177 births from girls younger than 15 originated from Andalusia.

It's just a different culture

The Roma culture in Europe is criticized most frequently for the young age at which some are married. This caused the France government to expel numerous. They were those living in France from Roma.
