Pre-owned workout apparel: Ease or affront to decency?

Many business people who like to continue their workout routines on the road will more than likely like the idea of not needing to bring any additional clothes with them. The majority are curious as to whether many will really be drawn in with communal shoes, socks and sports bras.

Capri pants, sports bra, shirt, socks and shoes are all being lent to women with a Brand new Balance gear-lending program. Westin Hotel will be offering this. Men will get a shirt, shorts, socks and shoes. This free service could be extended to all guests who request the gear. Just like Westin bed sheets and towels, the hotel says that all clothing items undergo "intents hot water laundry" treatment. Shoes are cleaned externally and insoles are replaced between each use, too.

Market for business people

Marriott Hotels & Resorts Senior VP of Global Brand Management, Paul Cahill, explained "The business traveler who stays 40-plus nights a year represents about 50 percent of our revenue." That means it’s necessary to cater to business enterprise travelers. Hotel fitness center facilities are previously owned by more than 70 percent of visitors, Westin Hotels explained to the WSJ. That means that the apparel lending program ought to be in place.

People to choose on their own

Jenn Blazejewski, a 31-year-old management consultant who runs daily and travels four days per week, thinks public exercise wear is a great idea, and she is not disgusted by it.

“Running socks aren’t very intimate compared with bed sheets and towels,” she told the WSJ.
